MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The rift between Andy Bautista and Rowena Guanzon is no secret.  The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) chair and the lady Commissioner have been trading barbs at each other for some time now.

With the recent allegation of Bautista’s unexplained wealth, Guanzon who many suspect is aiming at the COMELEC top post, had a frank conversation with her boss.

The Adobo Chronicles obtained a full transcript of their conversation:

GUANZON: This really affects all of us.

BAUTISTA: What do you mean?

GUANZON: The allegations against you are very serious and it reflects badly on the entire COMELEC.

BAUTISTA: So what do you suggest I do?

GUANZON: You should take a leave.  Better still, you should step down.

BAUTISTA: Okay, but only if you do too.

GUANZON:

Duterte Reveals Shortlist For New DSWD Secretary (UPDATED!)

IMG_3895.PNGMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Now that the Commission on Appointments has rejected Judy Taguiwalo as Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), President Duterte has released his shortlist of possible appointees to the Cabinet post.

In keeping with the ‘grassroots’ qualities of Taguiwalo, Duterte’s list includes:

  • Mutya ng Masa and ABS-CBN reporter Doris Bigornia
  • Tsinelas Queen Korina Sanchez
  • Queen of All Media Kris Aquino
  • Wildflower’s Emilia Ardiente, Queen of Taray

Queen of Laylayan VP Leni Robredo was dropped from the list because she might just quit the Cabinet post again like she did when she was appointed Housing Czar by Duterte.
