2019 Philippine Elections: New, All-Women Party List Is Born

It may be a Party List, but it’s non-partisan.  Its founding members come from both camps, pro- and anti-Duterte.  And they’re all influencial bloggers in their own right and in their own minds.

The members are:  Mocha Uson, who just resigned her post as PCOO Asec; Maria Ressa, whose future with her firm Rappler is uncertain because of the SEC ruiling; Jover Laurio, who remains to be Jover Laurio; Raissa Robles who’s about to go bankrupt because her Marcos Martial Law book is not selling; and Sass Rogando Sasot, who is so homesick she wants to come home permanently from The Netherlands.

All are filing their COC’s on October 11, and they have made a blood compact that whomever is chosen to be their Party List’s representative in the House of Representatives will be honored by them.

The group’s campaign meme will be “Best Friends Forever: Blogging Knows No Color. One for All, All for One”

Now, that’s a Party List and campaign meme to beat.  Be afraid.  Be very afraid!

Kris Aquino: ‘Friends Na Kami Ni Mocha Uson’

Kris immediately protested Uson’s Facebook post and contacted Malacañang, which in turn said that Uson will apologize to the Queen of All Media.

Kris then announced during a radio interview afterwards: “Friends na kami ni PRRD. As for her (referring to Mocha), I don’t care.”

Now that Uson has tendered her resignation as Asec, Kris told The Adobo Chronicles: ‘Friends na kami ni Mocha.’

All’s well that ends well.

VP Leni Robredo’s Fashion Statement At 88th National Day Of The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia

We’re talking about Leni Robredo, the Vice President of the Philippines.

On September 25, 2018, Robredo graced the 88th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a Muslim country.

Cultural and religious sensitivity, as well as diplomatic protocol would have prompted Robredo — as a representative of the Philippine government — to dress appropriately on this occasion.

But she chose to wear a green lace, see-through dress which would make any Muslim — including Muslim Filipinos — cringe.

Muslim women cover up in public. But Robredo chose to bare her legs with her knee-length dress (the grayish slip – or was it Spandex shorts? –  nothwithstanding).

Strike Two for insensitivity for Ms. Robredo.  Remember the smiley faces at the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin?
