Marikina Solon Wants VP Robredo To Appoint Cabinet Members And Top Officials

MARIKINA CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Marikina Bureau) – Philippine President Rodrigo Dutere gave them his wrist. Now, members of the political Opposition want his entire arm.

Reacting to Duterte’s designation of  Leni Robredo as Co-Chair of the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-illegal Drugs (ICAD), Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo said the Vice  President should be allowed to choose her own team.

“I hope she will be given leeway to choose her own team, and even choose the heads of important agencies, like PDEA and DILG,” she said.

In an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, Quimbo added that Robredo should also be given the power to appoint the Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Secretary of Justice, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Health Secretary, the Commissioner of the Bureau of Customs and other top officials involved in the War on Drugs.

Quimbo also wanted to create a Cabinet-level position of Spokesperson specifically for the Office of the Vice President.

Now, that would definitely ensure the success of the War on Drugs!

POLL: Should Leni Robredo Accept Duterte’s Designation Of Anti-Illegal Drugs Co-Chair?

Leni Robredo Mulling A Graceful Exit From Vice Presidency?

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) –  Great Britain is exiting  the European Union. The western province of Alberta wants to exit from the rest of Canada.  Now, there are rumors that Leni Robredo is thinking about how to gracefully exit the position of Philippine Vice President.

Unreliable sources close to Robredo told The Adobo Chronicles that the VP is finally coming to the realization that she is unwanted and that there seems to be no hope for her to succeed Rodrigo Duterte despite many speculations about the President’s state of health. She is also sick and tired of being used as a mouthpiece for the failing political Opposition.

The planned exit would involve former Senator Bongbong Marcos’ withdrawal of his electoral protest as well as a diplomatic clearance from the Duterte government that would attest to her good manners and right conduct (GMRC) during the last three years or so that she has been VP.

She is also requesting Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin to grant her an irrevocable dipomatic passport that would enable her to freely travel the world for speaking engagements.  In return, the VP is reportedly promising not to criticize Duterte in any of her future speeches and media interviews both here and abroad.

”All she wants is to spend more quality time with her three daughters — all girls,” the sources said
