CAIRO , Egypt (The Adobo Chronicles, Cairo Bureau) – She’s gone from Hadouken to Karate Kid, from Miss Universe to Samurai, and there’s no stopping ex-Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo from her new passion for cosplay.
This week, the lawyer-mother of three daughters who are all girls, donned the Cleopatra costume while vacationing in Egypt.
Fugitive former Chairman of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Andy Bautista calls her a “world-class human being” and is very impressed about Robredo’s ability to portray different famous characters. He hopes someday that she can don a leather suit with a leather whip which is Bautista’s admitted fetish.
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (The AdoboChronicles, Bangkok Bureau) –
The Philippines makes history next month when an all-Filipina team of athletes parade at the opening ceremonies of the Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) in Cambodia.
But that’s not all.
An all-LGBTQ team of athletes will represent our Pearl of the Orient at the closing parade.
Leave it to the Philippines to be the leader of gender equality and respect for sexual identity not only in Southeast Asia but throughout the world!
ATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles, Atlanta Bureau) – The rival U.S. television networks, CNN and Fox News did a “Yin and Yang” move on the same day by firing their top anchors.
CNN announced the firing of Don Lemon while Fox News let go of Carson Tucker.
The “Yin and Yang” we refer to had nothing to do with black and white. Rather, opposite political leanings.
CNN is known to be leaning liberal while Fox, conservative.
This “balancing act” sent shockwaves to the broadcast industry here and abroad.
