Facebook Bans Japanese Gin Ad For Violation Of Community Standards!

TOKYO, Japan (The Adobo Chronicles, Tokyo Bureau) – Facebook is dead serious about implementing its community standards. It just banned a Japanese gin advertisement to the dismay of many Ilocanos in the Philippines and abroad.

The banned product is Ukiyo.

FB community standards prohibit posts that promote violence, fake news, pornography and foul language, among others.

We can’t tell our followers and readers what the product name means, otherwise we, too, might be banned from Facebook.

Just ask an Ilocano near you!

Rowena Guanzon Would Rather That Filipino Artists Go Hungry!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Ex-Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon criticized Malacañang for holding concerts in the palace grounds, saying that it is a diversionary tactic to let the Filipino people forget that they are hungry.

In effect, the confused lawyer is saying that she would rather let struggling artists from across the country go hungry.

“Artists live in a make-believe world, not the real world,” she said, “and there is absolutely no reason to support their careers nor to promote the arts in a starving country.”
