MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Despite public pronouncements to the contrary, Malacañang today clarified with certainty that the Philippines will continue to fully cooperate with the ICC.
Government pronouncements came in the wake of the rejection by the ICC Appeals Chamber of the Philippines’ petition for the International Criminal Court to stop the resumption of its investigation on the country’s war on drugs.

In a Messenger chat with President Bongbong Marcos, the Adobo Chronicles asked if that would mean ICC prosecutors will now be allowed to enter the Philippines to conduct the investigation.
Marcos replied, “No, no, no. We’re not talking about the International Criminal Court. Rather, the International Chamber of Commerce. It’s all part of our overall program to support our country’s commercial endeavors and relationship with the international business community.”
Crystal clear.
