PASIG CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Pasig City Bureau) – Just twenty-four hours after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) confirmed its earlier ruling to revoke the media license of Rappler, convicted criminal Maria Ressa’s online news source inaugurated its new offices as a blogsite.

The SEC ordered the shut down of Rappler for violation of the Philippine Constitution prohibiting foreign ownership of media. The early ruling by SEC was all but upheld by the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.
