MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Jollibee Foods Corporation has temporarily closed down a branch of its fast-food chain in Bonifacio Global City after a viral video tweet showing that a crispy fried towel had been served to a customer instead of fried chicken.
In a statement on Thursday, Jollibee said the company is “deeply concerned” over the incident and will conduct a thorough investigation.
The Adobo Chronicles has learned the the investigation will focus on three critical elements:
1. Whether the served towel was spicy, mild, or original.
2. Whether the served towel was served with spaghetti or pancit Palabok.
3. Whether the towel was a face towel, hand towel or bath towel.
This is a developing story.
