Leni Robredo Deeply Concerned About The Philippines’ Declining Inflation Rate

F7CDB303-5755-46B2-9226-528871BFEFDCMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It was just this past September when Vice President Leni Robredo chided the Duterte government, saying that it can no longer continue to downplay the country’s inflation rate.

Well, reacting to February 2019’s inflation rate report, Robredo who, just last year, was guest speaker at a forum at the London School of Economics, expressed deep concern at the continued decline of the Philippines’ inflation rate — from 5.1% in December of 2018 to 4.4% in January and 3.8% in February this year.

”Lubos na nakakabahala,” (It’s very concerning) she told The Adobo Chronicles. “It’s about time Duterte and his economic managers do something to prevent a further decline in our country’s inflation rate.”
