MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It’s bad enough that the Liberal Party could come up with only 8 candidates for its 2019 Senatorial slate. Only 5 of the 8 are bright, according to Yellow stalwart and cheerleader Vicky Garchitorena
Garchitorena headed the Presidential Management Staff in the early years of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. She now is a ranking leader of the Liberal Party as Vice President for Women. She is also a Twitter addict.
In a post on her Twitter account, Garchitorena praised Bam Aquino, Gary Alejano, Chel Diokno, Samira Gutoc and Erin Tañada as the ‘best and brightest’ among the LP Senatoriables. No mention of Mar Roxas, Florin Hilbay or Romulo Macalintal.
The unmentioned threesome are reportedly outraged at Garchitorena and have called her a ‘fake’ Yellow (Opposition).
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Opposition Senator Bam Aquino has been very vocal about the rise in inflation rate in the country. It has been his battlecry on his social media accounts, consistently pointing to the increasing prices of rice and other basic commodities.
With the recent rollback in gas prices and the stabilization of rice supply and retail cost, Aquino has found a new calling: to protest what he sees would be the next economic problem of the country: deflation.
Aquino has definitely mastered the art of making a mountain out of a mole.
