MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Hoping to reach out to a captive audience of 5 Million Filipinos, Starbucks Philippines announced today that beginning October 1, its hot or iced mocha will be served in limited edition cups bearing the image of, who else, Mocha Uson.
In order to avail of the custom cups, customers must order mocha. Regular coffee, tea or juices will not be served in the special cups.
Speaking with The Adobo Chronicles, a spokesperson for Starbucks Philippines said that this is part of the coffee company’s overall marketing strategy to increase its dwindling number of customers. “Imagine if all 5 Million followers of Uson will come in to our stores and buy some hot or iced mocha?”
