MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – They’re on the same team, proud parters of Facebook in the fact-checking of news and information on the Internet: Ellen Tordesillas of Vera Files and Maria Ressa of Rappler.  But are they?

Well, informed sources tell The Adobo Chronicles that the two are not on speaking terms.

The reason? They’re always contradicting each other.

For one, Tordesillas keeps on correcting Ressa whenever the latter fact-checks satire sites like The Adobo Chronicles.  Ressa seems super eager to fact-check anything that comes her way at the Rappler office.
