NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – In defiance of the U.S. Constitution’s provision for the ‘Separation of Church and State,’ blogger Raissa Robles held her small talk at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in New York.
It was held Friday evening (Saturday morning Philippine time) before a couple dozen people invited to the forum sponsored by the FilAm Press Association. (Including Ma’m Margie who passionatley defended President Duterte.)
For those who missed the oft-interrupted live streaming of the event, here are some of Robles’ most memorable quotes from her talk, with annotations by The Adobo Chronicles. (Note: because of weak wifi signal, we had to paraphrase some of what she said.)
I’m here to share news and gossip.
AC: More of gossip we believe.
Unlike Duterte, NoyNoy Aquino didn’t have ladies surrounding him.
AC: Gentlemen, perhaps?
The Philippines is not Davao.
AC: Of course not. The Philippines is a country. Davao is a city.
Duterte supporters have been violent in the language online.
AC: So when they call you boba or gaga, that’s violent?
Duterte is not yet a dictator.
AC: Now that’s fake news hahaha.
I go for quality, not quantity
AC: Can you imagine if this many people attended Robles’s talks?
