img_7394NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – Typhoon Nina battered the Bicol region in the Philippines, prompting residents to flee their homes during the Christmas weekend.

Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo, who is from Bicol, flew to the United States to set up relief operations for the typhoon victims.

It wasn’t clear whether Robredo will be meeting with Loida Nicolas-Lewis to ask for relief funds from the FilAm millionaire for the typhoon victims. Nicolas-Lewis had previously urged Rodrigo Duterte to resign so that Robredo can take over as president.
