Thousands Of Americans Fly Out Of U.S. Day After Trump’s Election

img_6906WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – They promised, and they delivered.  Thousands of Americans who had promised to leave the country if Donald Trump were elected president flew out of various international airports in the U.S. the day after Tuesday’s elections.

The airport authorities in Washington Dulles Airport, San Francisco International Airport, LAX, and Chicago’s O’Hare seemed to have prepared for the eventuality.  International flights were allowed to take off simultaneously (see photo), with the expert guidance of control tower personnel who were asked to report on a 24-hour schedule.

Airport authorities told The Adobo Chronicles that majority of the flight destinations of passengers escaping the Trump victory included Canada, EU nations, Australia, Japan and the Philippines.

More flights have been added by the airlines to accommodate the sudden exodus or American-born as well as naturalized citizens.

The Clintons were not among those who fled the country.

BREAKING: Filipino Americans Could Decide Election Of U.S. President

IMG_6905.PNGSAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – With an almost dead-heat presidential contest between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton, the votes that will be cast for third-party candidates like Jill Stein and Gary Johnson in Tuesday’s elections could spell the loss or victory for either major candidate.

Even a 3% vote for either Stein or Johnson could mean 3% less for Clinton or Trump which basically would erase the polls’  margin of error between the two major candidates.

But what if another 3 Million votes were taken away from Clinton or Trump?

Well, that’s exactly what’s brewing among American voters who are of Filipino descent who remain undecided on their presidential choice.

There is a growing consensus among FilAms (Filipino Americans) to write in Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s name in the U.S. presidential ballot.

Better safe than sorry?

Heroes’ Kin Would Like Their Loved Ones Exhumed From Libingan Ng Mga Bayani And Transferred Elsewhere

IMG_6896.JPGMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Relatives of Filipino presidents, national artists and soldiers buried in Libingan Ng Mga Bayani (LNMB) are demanding that the remains of their loved ones be exhumed and transferred to various private cemeteries throughout the country. This, after the Philippine Supreme Court issued its ruling allowing the burial of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos in the National Heroes’ Cemetery.

Prior to the high court’s decision, various groups opposed the transfer of Marcos’ remains from the refrigerated crypt in Batac, Ilocos Norte to the resting place reserved for heroes and former presidents. The groups maintained that Marcos did not deserve to be buried in LNMB because of his dictatorial rule, fake war records, and human rights violations.

“We do not want our loved ones to be interred in the same resting place as a bad man,” they said, referring to Marcos.

The relatives also demanded that all the expenses for the transfer of their loved ones’ remains be paid for by the Marcos family.

Meanwhile, Presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said that as soon as all the buried remains are removed from LNMB, the place will be converted into a public park with a new monument dedicated to Ferdinand E. Marcos. Costs to develop the park and build the monument will also be charged to the Marcos’ estate.
