MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – What do blogger Mocha Uson and Senator Leila De Lima have in common?  Sex, lies and videotape.

The outspoken senator has been facing accusations about her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison while being constantly subjected to rumors about her sexual escapades with her personal driver and even with some jail inmates.  There are alleged sex videos pointing to the lady senator.

Uson, on the other hand has been accused of being a paid spokesperson for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and has been the subject of attacks by critics and the jealous media like Rappler for her popular political blog.

Now, the enemies of Uson are spreading “Throwback Thursday” photos of the former singer, dancer and nude model.

“Inuungkat yung nakaraan ko. Pinapakita yung mga hubad kong larawan na lumabas po sa mga magazine,” Uson said in an interview on Friday. (They’re digging into my past. They’re showing my nude photographs that have appeared in magazines.)

While she maintains that she’s unaffected by the bashing she receives in social media, Uson wants netizens to stop making personal attacks against her.

De Lima has demanded the same.

Now it remains to be seen whether women and human rights groups will come to the defense of Uson like they did for De Lima in condemning slut-shaming which we all agree has no place in a decent society like ours.
