HONOLULU, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles, Honolulu Bureau) – In the past several days, many netizens were duped by bogus websites in which Etihad Airways tickets were supposedly offered in return for participants completing a survey, adding a link to their Facebook account and sharing it with 15 friends. The airline based in the United Arab Emirates has confirmed that the websites were fraudulent.
But a new airline tickets offer has emerged and it seems to be more credible than the Etihad Airways hoax.
This offer is a joint venture of Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Hawaiian Airlines that awards netizens with free round-trip tickets from Manila to Honolulu on PAL and additional inter-island air tickets on Hawaiian Airlines to all of the islands in Hawaii, including Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island.
There are no surveys to complete, no links to add and no need to share with FB friends.
All that is required is for contest participants to fax a copy of their approved U.S. visa to either PAL in Manila or Hawaiian Airlines in Honolulu. In addition, participants must submit an audio tape in which they correctly pronounce the name of Hawaii’s state fish, Humuhumunukunukuapua`a.
And spell it right too in their visa application.
