REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES DROP OUT EN MASSE, LEAVING DONALD TRUMP AND CARLY FIORINA

150916234322-03-trump-fiorina-split-debate-0916-exlarge-169WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles®) – Apparently, it is not only Scott Walker who is dropping out of the Republican presidential race; all 34 of the remaining 36 declared candidates are quitting, en masse.

The first to drop out from the contest last month was Rick Perry, followed by an announcement today that Walker is also stepping down.

But after the continued surge in the polls by frontrunner Donald Trump and the impressive showing by Carly Fiorina in last week’s CNN debate, all the others are throwing in the towel.

Between Trump and Fiorina, the Republicans are confident that their standard bearer in the general elections will have a good shot at The White House, either against Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton.

The GOP says that the ideal match would be between Trump and Sanders, because of common hair-raising issues; or between Fiorina and Clinton who are both women.

So now, the focus has shifted to the Democratic race.

LOS ANGELES, California (The Adobo Chronicles® )  – Singers Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus have filed a joint lawsuit in Los Angeles against Patti Labelle, claiming the 71-year-old diva  defamed their good moral character with comments she made at a recent concert.

The “New Attitude” diva ripped into a fan after he started to strip onstage during her concert Friday night at the Hard Rock Casino in Vancouver.

While performing the hit “Lady Marmalade,” LaBelle invited several audience members onstage to dance. However, according to a video obtained by TMZ, when one man began to unbutton his shirt, the singer immediately scolded him.

“Don’t you dare, not on my stage,” she commanded, adding, “I am 71-years-young I am not Nicki Minaj or that little, uh, Miley.”

“The insinuation in Labelle’s comments is that we are cheap ‘sl*ts,’ ” the complainants said in a statement.

Labelle could not be reached for comment.

AIRLINE SAFETY: NO MORE EVENING FOOTBALL AT LEVI’S STADIUM

SANTA CLARA, California (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – In an investigative report that  recently aired on NBC Bay Area, commercial pilots are claiming that the lights from Levi’s Stadium during evening games are posing a serious threat to airline safety for planes landing at nearby San Jose Mineta International Airport. Pilots describe the stadium lights as so ‘blinding’ they can’t see the airport runway.

Reacting to the report, the City and County of Santa Clara has banned all evening football games or concerts  at Levi’s Stadium, citing airline safety.

For 49er fans, this would be the end of Monday Night Football as we know it.

Santa Clara has allowed one exception to the ban, however, since Levi’s Stadium is host to the 2016 Superbowl. On that Sunday, commercial airlines will be banned from landing at the Mineta aiport between 5pm and midnight.

Passengers scheduled to arrive February 7 at that time in San Jose are advised to contact their airlines.

This may go down in history as the worst planning ever for a U.S. football stadium.
