San Francisco, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – It’s been a while since fans last saw Chris Kohrs, the ‘Hot Cop of Castro‘ whose Internet photograph showing him walking the streets of Castro Street went viral, prompting the setting up of his own Facebook fan page and making him a hit in local LGBT and other fundraising charity events. He recently decided to keep a low profile and even took down his Facebook fan page (although it is now back up).

No matter. He has had his time.

Now it’s Alex’s turn to shine. Alex of Target. Yes, that Target.

A photo of this handsome young cashier bagging purchased items at a Target store was posted on Twitter and it immediately went viral. It even spurred many memes. Still, others dared to impersonate him, to no avail. His is now officially known as Alex of Target, or the Hot Cashier of Target.

The Castro resident who set up Kohrs’ Facebook fan page wants to do the same for Alex. Ellen DeGeneres wants him as a guest on her TV show. Apple wants him to model its new Apple Watch. Abercrombie & Fitch is dying to sign him up for its fall and winter collection.

Even The Adobo Chronicles wants to do an exclusive interview with him.

Bentonville, Arkansas (The Adobo Chronicles) – The country’s top giant retailers — Walmart, Costco and Target — have all reported that they have fully run out of plastic buckets in their stores and outlets. An independent investigation by The Adobo Chronicles has confirmed the disappearance of the 3, 4 and 5 gallon containers from the retailers’ store shelves across the country.

A spokesperson for the Arkansas-based Walmart said that their inventory of buckets began diminishing two weeks ago when the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge started to trend on social media. “Now, our supply is down to zero,” he said.

Costco, on the other hand, appealed to its members to stop calling customer service inquiring about the availability of plastic buckets. “There is absolutely nothing to go around and no delivery expected from our suppliers for the next six months,” it said in a statement from its corporate office in Seattle, Washington.

Estimates place the number of Ice Bucket Challenge videos posted on the Internet at 1.2 Million. “That’s 1.2 Million buckets purchased in just the last two weeks,” a spokesperson for Target said.

That, of course, is assuming each video involves just one individual.

Hardware stores are worried that they may also run out of tin buckets very soon.
