Will the real 2013 Miss World please step forward?
Will the real 2013 Miss World please step forward?

LONDON, Great Britain (The Adobo Chronicles) – Filipinos have barely recovered from that momentary stripping of the Miss Universe crown from Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach when yet another of their beloved international beauty queens — Megan Young — was stripped of her Miss World crown.

This time, the stripping of the crown did not come from a pageant host but from a website (timetobreak.com) that lists the top 20 most beautiful Miss World title holders of all time.

Not only did this site snub the stunning Young in its list of 20, it also took away her crown and put it on the head of Miss Cameroon, Denise Valerie Ayena.

We all know for a fact that the 2013 Miss World was Miss Philippines.

London, Great Britain (The Adobo Chronicles) – It’s the proverbial “Six Degrees of Separation.” More and more people now believe that based on the world’s long history of migration, trade, intermarriage and Genealogy, we are all related.  Some more related than others.

Organizers of the Miss World Beauty Pageant in London are now investigating rumors that Miss World 2013 Megan Young of the Philippines and Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss of South Africa are sisters, separated at birth.

Many Filipinos living in South Africa have, in fact, intermarried with South Africans and other nationals in the country, according to Wikipedia.

Both are stunning beauties, fair and flawless complexioned with perfectly chiseled faces — not to mention their very similar Mona Lisa smiles. They even sported the same hairdo on coronation night during the Miss World 2014 finals in London. And did we already mention they’re both brunettes?

The coronation photo stunned many observers and beauty connoisseurs who swore that both looked too much alike.

At least, the pageant’s standard of beauty is consistent.

NEWLY-CROWNED MISS PHILIPPINES WILL ALSO REPRESENT GERMANY IN MISS WORLD PAGEANT

Manila, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – When Megan Young was crowned  Miss World last year, the United States claimed her as its own candidate as well. Young was born in the U.S. to an America father and Filipina mother.

History repeats itself.  This year’s newly-crowned Miss World Philippines is half Filipina and half German. Valerie Weigmann will represent the Philippines in the prestigious international beauty pageant, hoping to become the second Filipina to win the title.

Weigmann was a runaway winner. “To be honest, I would have been shocked if the TV celebrity and fashion model hadn’t won. Even during the screening for this year’s Miss World Philippines, I could see it in her stars that bearing the red and silver crown was her destiny,” said Joyce Ann Burton Titular, a former beauty queen herself who now stars in a Philippne television series about beauty pageants. Titular was the Philippines’ candidate in the 1985 Miss Universe Pageant.

Upon learning of Weigmann’s victory, Germany abruptly cancelled the 2014 contest to select its candidate for Miss World. ” We’re more than happy to have Miss Weigmann represent Germany as well ” pageant organizers said in Berlin.

The 2014 Miss World Pageant will be held December 14 in London.

We’ve heard about dual citizenships, but dual beauty queens?
