DETROIT, Michigan (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – You saw it all at last night’s Republican presidential debate. Donald Trump held up his two hands and asked the audience if they looked like small hands to them.  Then, referring to Marco Rubio’s previous comments that something else in Trump was mostly likely small as well, the frontrunner candidate assured everyone that there definitely wasn’t any problem down there.

Now, hours after that contentious albeit very entertaining debate in Detroit, Trump has challenged Rubio to a size contest.

“Let’s bare it all for the world to see who is big and who is small,” Trump said.

He was, of course, referring to the size of their brains.

Rubio has yet to accept the challenge.

imageGREENVILLE, South Carolina (The Adobo Chronicles) – Donald Trump, who, for the longest time had questioned Barack Obama’s qualification to be president of the United States over the latter’s citizenship status, has found the perfect opening to protest the candidacies of his leading rivals for the Republican presidential nomination, Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.

During tonight’s GOP presidential debate in South Carolina, the two Cuban American candidates traded fireworks at each other.  At one point, Rubio questioned Cruz’s ability to understand and speak Spanish, to which the senator for Texas replied in the Spanish language.

Shortly after the debate, Trump said he was going to seek the disqualification of both Rubio and Cruz because he said neither of them, being Cuban, was eligible to run for U.S. president. “They just demonstrated their U.S. citizenship disqualification from the race by showing their Spanish language skills,” Trump said.

“Only natural-born citizens can run for president,” Trump maintained, “so we cannot allow Spanish-speaking candidates to run for U.S. president.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) –  Donald Trump has said that 68% of his supporters would vote for him if he ran as an independent rather than a Republican.  But what he is not saying is that this doesn’t mean he’ll win the nomination.  Let’s do the math:

One recent poll shows that Trump had 27% support among Republican primary voters.  Senator Ted Cruz, who is currently in second place, had 22% support while Marco Rubio had 15% support.

So, if 68% of Trump’s 27% supporters would vote for him as an independent, that would result in an  18% support which puts him second to Cruz.

If the remaining 9% of Trump’s supporters (27% minus 18%) voted for Cruz, that would put the Senator at 31% — a double digit lead over the real estate mogul.

If, on the other hand, the remaining 9% voted for Rubio, that would mean the Florida senator would have 21% support which would put him in second place and Trump in third.

It looks like Trump missed a few of his math classes when he was attending college at University of Pennsylvania!
