Ivana Trump Readying Lawsuit In Case Donald Trump Becomes President

ST. TROPEZ, France (The Adobo Chronicles, Berlin Bureau) – As presidential candidate and frontrunner Donald Trump inches closer and closer to the Republican nomination, his ex-wife Ivana is preparing to file in a lawsuit in the event that Trump is elected president.

In her draft lawsuit, Ivana claims she should become First Lady if Trump becomes president.

Ivana is Trump’s first wife (1977-1992), followed by Marla Maples (1992-1999). Trump is currently married to Ivanka Trump.

“That’s why it’s called ‘First Lady,’ ” Ivana told reporters in St. Tropez, ” a president cannot have his second or third wife to be First Lady.”

Ivana recently made the news for her statement saying that the U.S. needs immigrants to vaccuum Americans’ living rooms and clean up after them.

Ivana, herself an immigrant, was born in the Czech Republic. We doubt that she ever vaccumed an American living room.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – On May 9, 2016, Filipinos will troop to the polls to elect their next president from among incumbent Vice President Jejomar Binay, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, Senators Grace Poe and Miriam Defensor-Santiago and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. Passions are high and many are predicting that it will be a very close race.

If elections were held today, and your vote depended on who becomes First Lady, First Gentleman, or First Domestic Parter (as in the case of Duterte), who would you choose?

Why Melania Trump Can Never Be First Lady

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Just hours after it was announced that former First Lady Nancy Reagan has died, Republicans have come to the conclusion that Donald Trump’s wife, Melania, can never be First Lady.

Not that the GOPers are discounting the possibility that Trump could be elected the next president of the United States. Rather, it is because Melania is the Republican frontrunner’s third wife. Trump was previously married to, and divorced from, Ivana Trump and Marla Maples.

“So technically, even if Trump becomes president,” they said, “Melania will not be the First Lady. She is the third.” Additionally, they pointed out that Melania is not a natural-born citizen. She was born in Slovenia.

Trump’a first wife Ivana, could potentially sue to claim the title of First Lady. But Ivana was not born in the U.S. either. She was born in Czechoslovakia.

Would that mean the second wife, U.S.-born Marla, can claim the title?

Nothing in the U.S. Constitution specifically discusses the issue of who can be First Lady, so any challenge to Melania or Ivana may eventually be decided by the Supreme Court.
