Philippines’ Population To reach 120 Million In The Next Four Years! Here’s Why.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – 2023 estimates show the Philippines’ total population at 113 million. It is expected to reach 120 million in the next four years. Here are the top five reasons, according to population experts:

  1. Companies have shifted most of their operations to “work from home” (WFH) which increases pregnancy by almost 100% among office workers.
  2. The addition of four more U.S. military bases in the country, bringing the total to nine under the Enhanced Defense Cooperative Agreement or EDCA. Experts are, however, at a loss on whether to add Filipino babies fathered by Americans to the Philippine or U.S. population count.
  3. The recent importation by the government of onions to help deal with the artificial short supply and increasing prices. Onions are known to increase testosterone levels.
  4. The increasing popularity of talaba (oysters), also known to be great aphrodisiacs.
  5. The increasing time Filipinos spend on online porn sites.

The Philippines is currently the 7th most populous country in Asia, and is expected to climb up a notch or two by 2027 or 2028.

China, Japan To Each Have Access To Philippine Military Bases!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Fulfilling his campaign and inaugural speech promise that the Philippines will be “a friend to all and an enemy to none,” President Bongbong Marcos has given his go-signal to allow China and Japan to each maintain 9 military bases in the Philippines.

The move follows an earlier announcement that the United States has been given additional access to four additional military sites in addition to the five already existing under EDCA, the Enhanced Defense Cooperative Agreement between the two countries.

“By giving equal access to the major players that matter in the Asia Pacific regional security, the Philippines is making it clear to the universal community that we are a peace-loving people and that we are being proactive in preventing war and conflict especially in the light of the South China Sea territorial dispute that involves the Philippines,” Marcos told The Adobo Chronicles.

Kudos to the PBBM administration for giving peace a chance!

Now Ressa wants netizens to stay with Facebook, no matter what.

In a book signing event recently organized by the Ortigas Foundation Library on Thursday, Ressa advised attendees to not quit Facebook, questioning what could become of the social media platform if “good people” left it.
