Partylist Gabriela Bats For Its Own Demise!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Women’s Partylist Gabriela is taking the high road in opposition to the government’s plan to phase out jeepneys and upgrade them to modernized public utility vehicles. In exchange, it is willing to legislate its own demise.

In a hastily-called press conference Gabriela Representative Arlene Brosas asked her colleagues in Congress to phase out the partlist system, not the jeepneys.

Brosas told The Adobo Chronicles that she will file a bill to abolish the partylist system on Friday.

What a heroic compromise for Gabriela? Mabuhay to all jeepney drivers!

Results Are In: 80% Of Pinoys Prefer The Modernized Jeepney

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Coinciding with the supposed week-long, nationwide jeepney strike to protest the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program, The Adobo Chronicles conducted a preference survey among Filipinos.

The unscientific poll asked respondents which they preferred: the old, dilapidated jeepney, or the modern, minibus-like jeepney.

Overwhelmingly, Pinoys chose the modern jeepney, registering 80% of responses, compared to 20% favoring the old jeepney.

One respondent commented:

(That’s where I’m comfortable…that when I ride I smell good and when I alight I still smell good. Unlike that of the old jeepney, I’m fresh and newly-bathed, but when I alight I feel sour and am sweating profusely.)

It is rumored that Duterte himself will play the part of, well, President Digong, in the upcoming film.

Yesterday, however, Duterte issued a stern warning to Yap and it was all caught on tape:
