QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – The two top successful 2022 bar examinees are ex-Vice President Leni Robredo’s mentees!
Matthew Dayday is in first place while Erickson Mariñas finished second. Both are from the University of the Philippines.
As may be gleaned from their Facebook profile photos, Dayday and Mariñas idolize Robredo and openly supported her failed bid to be the 17th President of the Philippines.
Despite having previously flunked her first try at the bar exams, Robredo provided inspiration to the new lawyers.
The payoff? Between the two, they have potential Pinklawan clients of about 7 million each and we wish them the best of luck in their bright careers!
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Philippines’ largest call centers — Concentrix, Sitel, Teleperformance and Accenture — are all reporting being deluged with job applications in just the last few hours of this last workday week.
The companies’ human resource departments described this phenomenon as unprecedented.
This development happened just minutes after the list of the 2022 successful bar examinees was released by the Supreme Court.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Just hours after Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said that the Marcos Administration plans to privatize the Ninoy Aquino International Airpot (NAIA), two of the Philippines’ largest corporations — San Miguel Corporation and SM Corporation — submitted bids to operate and manage the Philippines’ premier international airport.
Bautista said, however, that the assets of the airport will remain with the government. Only the operation and maintenance will be privatized.
Naming rights are not considered an asset so both companies’ bids include renaming NAIA to their respective corporate names.
