MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – How the world turns! Who would have imagined that a struggling book author and self-proclaimed investigative writer would someday make it big in the arena of commercial endorsements?
Well, thanks to the Supreme Court’s disbarment of Larry Gadon, Raissa Robles has been inundated with commercial endorsement offers left and right. Robles was the subject of Gadon’s cussing which led to his disbarment.
Perhaps it’s time for Robles to write -30- and start a new public career as a commercial product celebrity endorser!
So far, Robles has signed deals with Boba Tea and an ampaw (pop rice) maker.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It was a well-meaning poll among its readers — PhilStar comparing tourism slogans used by neighboring countries and the Philippines’ new branding.
But alas, PhilStar picked up the wrong Philippine tourism slogan in its graphic. Instead of the official “Love the Philippines,” the broadsheet used an alternative slogan proposed by former National Security Adviser Professor Clarita Carlos.
As earlier reported by The Adobo Chronicles, Carlos suggested a more catch and modern slogan: “Philippines, You Rock!”
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – PAPA (Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation) Larry Gadon has challenged Senator Risa Hontiveros to a debate so they can measure each others’ quality of intelligence.
Speaking before the media on Wednesday, Gadon extended his invitation to Hontiveros after the senator asked President Bongbong Marcos to reconsider Gadon’s appointment as anti-poverty czar following his disbarment by the Supreme Court due to his cussing of journalist Raissa Robles.
The Adobo Chronicles has locked in the exclusive coverage of the debate if and when it happens, no matter where. We will bleep any cussing by either debater.
