Embarrassing Typo In Malacañang’s Newly-Released Logo!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It was a brilliantly-designed logo that Malacañang released yesterday — representing the President’s rebranding of government service under his new administration.

Bagong Pilipinas” (New Philippines) immediately received praise and positive response, unlike the controversial “Love The Philippines” slogan of the Department of Tourism, or the irrelevant (and some say “plagiarized”) new logo of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

But alas, some palace intern committed a grave error by spelling “Bagong Pilipinas” as “Bagoong Pilipinas”

Was the intern craving for bagoong Iloko when she slipped into the typo?

Once Again, Life Imitates Satire!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Sometimes, satire imitates life. At other times, life imitates satire!

On July 13, 2023, The Adobo Chronicles published a satirical article claiming that the Office of the President of the Philippines is seeking input from netizens on a supposed plan to come up with a new logo for Malacañang (the official residence of the PH president).

Well, what do you know! On Saturday, July 15, 2023, Malacañang made public a new logo!

It’s not exactly a new logo for the Office of the President. Rather, a new logo and slogan that rebrand government service under Bongbong Marcos’ administration.

“Bagong Pilipino” seeks to instill a new sense of change, discipline, progress and all that sort of thing, reminiscent of Marcos’ late father who, during the days of Martial Law, popularized the slogan, “Bagong Lipunan” (New Society).
