QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos showed up at her brother’s second State of the Nation Address (SONA) garbed in a Cordilleran outfit which she says was gifted to her by an Igorot.
But the senator was also seen sporting a tattoo which immediately fueled rumors that she had gotten it from Whang-od, the famous centenarian mambabatok (tattoo artist) from Kalinga.
A quick check by The Adobo Chronicles didn’t find an Imee Marcos in Whang-od’s journal of clients. The senator also confirmed that what she was sporting was a Henna tattoo (temporary tattoo) which she was done by a Pagudpud (Ilocos Norte) Henna artist two days before the SONA.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Towards the end of his one-hour plus State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Bongbong Marcos said he will issue a proclamation granting amnesty to rebel returnees.
A quick fact check by The Adobo Chronicles showed that such a proclamation has already been issued by former President Rodrigo Duterte, signed on February 5, 2021.
In effect, Marcos will issue a proclamation proclaiming Duterte’s proclamation granting amnesty to rebels.
