MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Fashion is such an unpredictable industry. At one time, designers come up with out-of-this-world creations. At other times, they simply bring back or recycle the fashion trends of old.
And then, there are designers that opt for minimalism, rolling clothing an accessories into one.
Megastar Sharon Cuneta modeled one of such minimalist creations — a blouse that incorporates a lady’s handbag or purse.

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Today, when Philippine legislators make their way on the red carpet to the Plenary Hall of the Batasang Pambansa to listen to President Bongbong Marcos’ second State of the Nation Address, spectators will notice something unusual.
All of them will be wearing a crocodile pin, courtesy of international clothing maker Lacoste. A total of 340 gold-plated lapel and chest pins was donated by the company to honor the members of the 19th Congress – 24 senators and 316 Representatives.
In Philippine Media, the Philippine Crocodile is often associated with corruption in government, specifically the Senate and the House of Representatives.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Ex-Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo was invited to attend her arch rival President Bongbong Marcos’ second State of the National Address. She declined.
The Adobo Chronicles reached out to Robredo and we asked her what the real reason was for saying, “Thanks, but no thanks.”
“The invitation said that the required attire for the event was ‘formal Filipiniana,’ she said, “but I wanted to wear my samurai costume to the red carpet cuz I think I look stunning in it. But the SONA organizers said no.”
Well, too bad Robredo wasn’t invited to the 2023 GMA Gala where there were no restrictions on what to wear. Robredo would have outshine Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista who wore a cocktail dress (see previous Adobo Chronicles story).
