Rappler Fact-Checks 16th Century Astrologer And Seer Nostradamus!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It must have been a slow news day at Rappler, the online news source headed by convicted CEO albeit controversial recipient of the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize Maria Ressa.

Rappler, one of the designated Facebook —well Meta — fact checkers in the Philippines, went all out to dispel a viral post claiming that a 16th century astrologer, physician and reputed seer Michel de Nostredame (better known as Nostradamus) predicted that former Senator Bongbong Marcos will become President of his country.

Rappler described the claim as ”false.”

Here’s hoping that Rappler will also fact-check and dispel posts claiming that Vice President Leni Robredo was with Jesus Christ during the biblical story on the multiplication of bread and fish.

After All, Bongbong Marcos Is Not “The Son Of A Former Dictator”

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Contrary to the claim of Rappler and other local and international news media, former Senator Bongbong Marcos is, after all, not the son of a former dictator.

This was confirmed as a new petition was filed with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to disqualify Marcos from running as President in the 2022 Philippine elections.

The former senator’s namesake, a certain Tiburcio Marcos who is also running for President, said in his petition that Bongbong Marcos is an imposter and the real BBM (Bongbong) died many years ago.

The DQ petition puts to rest all accusations that BBM is the son of a former dictator.

All’s well that ends well.

Leni Robredo Says Drug Tests Should Be Done While Candidates Are Sleeping

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Vice President and 2022 Presidential aspirant Leni Robredo said that drug tests should be ”random and unannounced.”

She was obviously reacting to a voluntary drug test taken by Presidential candidate frontrunner Bongbong Marcos in what many believe was a response to President Rodrigo Duterte’s earlier statement that one of the Presidential candidates is using cocaine.

Robredo told The Adobo Chronicles that Presidential and other candidates should be tested for drugs while they are sleeping to avoid possible manipulation and circumvention of the tests and results.

Robredo herself has not taken a drug test, unlike most other Presidential candidates who have voluntarily taken it.
