MRT Wheelchair Ramp Contractor Submits New Plan

In a stunning turn of events, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has demanded that the contractor responsible for the much-criticized MRT wheelchair ramp either repair it or face reparation charges.

This comes after a wave of public outrage over the ramp’s impractical design, which some have likened to an obstacle course for extreme sports enthusiasts.

In a hastily convened conference, MRT management announced that the contractor had submitted an updated plan to address the outcry.

Construction is set to begin immediately.

MMDA’s Waterless Water Slide!

In their latest stroke of genius, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has outdone itself, building on the monumental success of the “Stairway to Heaven” footbridge.

This new venture promises an adrenaline rush: a wheelchair ramp at an MRT station so steep, it doubles as an unintentional thrill ride. Persons with disabilities can now experience the heart-pounding excitement of a steep descent—think of it as a dry water slide, reminiscent of Disneyland’s famed attractions, but with a local twist.

No need for tickets or safety harnesses; the MMDA ensures that this high-octane adventure remains absolutely free! It’s a bold, cost-effective solution to mobility, transforming mundane commutes into unforgettable escapades.

Clearly, the MMDA’s innovative approach knows no bounds, continually proving that urban planning can be as exhilarating as it is practical.
