Will Philippine Coast Guard Respond With Laser To The Next Water Cannon Attack?

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Philippine Coast Guard is losing restraint over the continued “bullying” by China, the last incident being the firing of a water cannon on a resupply boat in the South China Sea.

Unreliable sources tell The Adobo Chronicles that the PCG is finalizing its “Oplan L,” which would grant blanket authority to all its vessels to respond with laser beams in the event of another water cannon attack by the Chinese Coast Guard.

Moral of the story: the Philippines will no longer take water cannon attacks just sitting down. It will respond accordingly using modern technology!

Jollibee To Go Fully-Automated, Tens Of Thousands Stand To Lose Jobs!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The business competition between America’s McDonald’s and the Philippines’ Jollibee continues unabated.

McDonald’s has acknowledged that its the world’s No. 1 fast food chain, except in the Philippines where it can’t beat that “fat, stupid, happy bee.”

Early this year, McDonald’s opened its very first fully-automated location in Settlement, Texas, where there are no employees — just machines, robots, and an interactive system for ordering from the menu.

Well, Jollibee won’t be beaten by that red-haired clown.

Today, the popular Filipino fast food chain said that by the year 2025, all of its outlets in the Philippines and abroad will be fully automated, and that all of its employees will be terminated and given a separation pay.

Those skilled and qualified will be offered position as ITs, computer programmers and online customer service representatives.

So here’s an unsolicited advice to all Jollibee employees. Enroll in computer classes and be certified by TESDA!

Senator Risa Hontiveros Asks Filipinos To Discard All Their Apple Gadgets!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The lone opposition voice in the Philippine Senate says the country should ban all Chinese state-owned companies and subsidiaries operating in the Philippines. That includes the 40 percent Chinese stake in the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines which supplies electric power in the country.

Senator Risa Hontiveros made the suggestion following the water cannon incident in the South China Sea involving the Chinese and Philippine Coast Guards.

But Hontiveros takes her idea up one notch. She wants all Filipinos to discard and give up all their Apple gadgets as a form of public protest over the South China Sea incident.

But why Apple?

Well, more than 95% of iPhones, AirPods, Macs and iPads are made in China.

Makes sense!
