MANNY PACQUIAO’S RETURN TO PH UNCERTAIN AS DUTERTE HINTS AT CLOSING COUNTRY’S BORDERS

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Philippine Senator and boxer Manny Pacquiao may not be able to return to his country after his title fight next month with Errol Spence, Jr. in Las Vegas.

The reason? President Rodrigo Duterte, according to a report by CNN Philippines’ Triciah Terada, is mulling closing his country’s borders if the spread of Covid-19 continues to accelerate.

This puts in jeopardy Pacquiao’s planned candidacy for President in the 2022 elections and the chance to prove his allegations of widespread government corruption under the current Administration.

This is a developing story.
