MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Rappler, the website claiming to be legitimate news media, is reporting that the word “migrate” has been the top search word among Filipinos disappointed at the May 13 midterm elections in the Philippines.

In the Senatorial race alone, none of the Opposition slate Otso Diretso made it to the winning ‘Magic 12,” according to both official and unofficial partial results.

The Adobo Chronicles made the rounds of foreign embassies in Metro Manila and found long lines of Filipinos trying to obtain immigrant visas to the U.S., Canada, Australia and other countries.

It seems that the mass migration by Yellows is for real.

Mar Roxas Chastises Journalist Inday Espina Varona

6DCD594B-FFCB-484D-9A5F-E9984CC176EDMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – She had good intentions, but journalist Inday Espina-Varona’s tweet “endorsing” Senatorial candidate Mar Roxas went awry (Tagalog translation: aray).

While extolling Roxas’ record on human rights, Varona admitted she didn’t like Roxas much, called him “infuriating” and a member of the landowning class. She also took a swipe at Roxas’ campaign team for making the candidate look ridiculous.

Responding to Varona, Roxas told The Adobo Chronicles: “If Inday thinks she was doing me  favor, she should think again. She could have endorsed my candidacy without bringing up any negatives. She can’t have her cake and eat it too.”

The former Interior Secretary (under NoyNoy Aquino) added: “It doesn’t matter. She is just one vote.  Nobody believes her anyway.”
