ANALYSIS: If PH Presidential elections were held today, Neither Leni Nor Sara Will Win.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The 2022 Philippine Presidential Elections is not that far away. The deadline for the filing of candidacy is set for October this year. There is no clear frontliner among the “Presidentiables,” a term coined by Pinoys to refer to those who could be President.

If online petitions on Change.org were the basis for determining who will succeed Rodrigo Duterte, neither Vice President Leni Robredo nor Davao City Mayor and Presidential daughter Sara Duterte will win the elections.

Online petitions as of this writing show that 32,000 Filipinos support Robredo’s candidacy, while almost twice that number would want her to retire from politics.

Meanwhile, the online petition encouraging Sara Duterte to run has so far garnered a measly 1,782 signatures.

Now the big question is, who will the Filipinos support to be their next President? Bongbong Marcos? Senator Bong Go? Senator Grace Poe? San Miguel Corporation’s Ramon Ang? Perhaps even consistent spoiler candidate Ely Pamatong?

It’s anyone’s guess at this point.

Ted Baguilat Wants Leni Robredo To Run In 2022

BANAUE, Ifugao (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio City Bureau) – Former Ifugao Congressman and Governor Ted Baguilat, Jr. wants Vice President Leni Robredo to run in the 2022 elections, but that may be just wishful thinking.

In a tweet, Baguilat said, “We need a new captain with better ideas and a person who can united us.”

However, Robredo may be ineligible to run for Barangay Captain in his province.

In Camarines Sur, maybe.

If PH Presidential Elections were held today, Leni Robredo Will Lose By Landslide!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – If the 2022 Philippine Presidential Elections were held today, Vice President Leni Robredo will lose, and lose by a landslide. Even without an opponent!

An online petition on change.org was recently set up by those who want to draft Robredo to be their Presidential candidate in 2022. As of this writing, some 6,000+ signatures have been gathered.

But alas, a counter-petition by those who do not want the VP to run for President has gained three times as much signatures, gaining over 20,000 supporters, and counting.

Will Robredo and her allies listen to the polls?

This is a developing story.
