Donald Trump Mulling A Government In Exile From Cuba?

MIAMI, Florida (The Adobo Chronicles, Miami Bureau) – Former President Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 37 charges related to alleged mishandling of classified documents. Trump’s lawyers asked for a jury trial during the former president’s arraignment Tuesday at a federal courthouse in Miami.

Soon after the arraignment, Trump visited a posh Miami Cuban restaurant where he reportedly met with the Mafia to plot his exile from Havana.

Our fly on the wall tells us that he hopes to evade the Federal charges filed against him by setting up a government in exile where he plans to campaign for the 2024 presidential elections.

If elected, Trump says he will move The White House to a mansion he plans to build in Havana.

Bring out the cigars!

Rowena Guanzon Doesn’t Understand Sarcasm

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – She takes pride in being a good lawyer, a graduate of the University of the Philippines and of Harvard University. She had challenged her critics to a debate, but only if they come from the same universities.

But amid her credentials and tirades against the Marcoses and against all who criticize and make fun of her on Twitter, ex-Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon shows her lack of understanding of satire and sarcasm.

In a Twitter post, she said she’s adding actress Angel Locsin to her wish list for the next Philippine Senatorial elections.

To which a netizen replied in jest to might as well add Kim Chiu, Jim Parades, Ogie Diaz and Ogie Alcacid to her wish list, complete with the appropriate emoticons.

Guanzon’s succeeding comment is classic:

The Adobo Chronicles tried to reach out to Jim Paredes for comment, but we are blocked from his Twitter account.

Bongbong Marcos More Popular Than Joe Biden, And There’s More!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – U.S. President Joe Biden has lower approval ratings than Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of Switzerland, Mexico,Italy, Ireland and Canada. In fact, Biden is less popular than Philippine President Bongbong Marcos!

But that’s not the news.

Marcos is the most popular world leader today!

The latest global leader approval rating gathered by Morning Consult shows India’s Modi on top of the list. How then is Marcos the most popular?

Well, Morning Consult Political Intelligence is currently tracking the approval ratings of government leaders in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Not the Philippines.

But if the Philippines were to be tracked, latest national surveys show Marcos having a 78% approval rating — higher than Modi’s 77%!

And that, ladies and gentlemen (and you too, fact checkers), is a fact!
