Senator Tulfo Wants To Disenfranchise All China-made Buses In The Philippines

Senator Raffy Tulfo has filed a groundbreaking bill aimed at revolutionizing the Philippine transportation system.

The senator’s proposed legislation, titled the “Made-in-China Bus Ban Act,” seeks to disenfranchise all city and provincial buses manufactured in China from the fleets of local bus companies.

Senator Tulfo, renowned for his bold and unconventional approaches, argues that the move is crucial for national security and will protect Filipinos from the alleged threat posed by Chinese-made buses.

In a press conference, he declared, “We cannot let these Trojan horses on wheels infiltrate our cities and provinces. Who knows what kind of surveillance equipment or hidden messages they might carry?”

Critics, however, are quick to point out the absurdity of the proposal, questioning whether it’s a genuine concern or merely a satirical take on the ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Only time will tell if Senator Tulfo’s “Made-in-China Bus Ban Act” gains traction or becomes another whimsical footnote in Philippine legislative history.

Senator Tulfo’s Imaginary Chinese Invasion Of Philippine Streets

Senator Idol Raffy Tulfo’s sudden aversion to modernizing the country’s jeepneys seems to suggest he’s been in a Rip Van Winkle-style hibernation, awakening to a world where vehicular progress is the enemy.

His comparison of China’s territorial claims to the West Philippine Sea with the introduction of modern jeepneys is as absurd as comparing apples to intergalactic spaceships. While one involves geopolitical aggression, the other is a mere upgrade in the local commute system.

Perhaps Senator Tulfo’s interns should redirect their energy from misplaced analogies to conducting an inventory of Philippine bus companies. They would discover a trove of Chinese-made buses quietly cruising our streets for years, presumably without causing an “invasion” panic. Senator Tulfo’s selective concern for national sovereignty seems to be in need of a tune-up, preferably in the form of a reality check on the highways of progress.

Karma, Karma Rowena

In the ever-entertaining soap opera of Philippine politics, the karma wheel seems to have taken an unexpected spin, landing squarely on the once-fiery Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon.

Known for her vocal anti-Marcos stance, she’s now facing consequences that make even the most melodramatic telenovela plot twists pale in comparison.

Guanzon, who once reveled in the limelight of power, now finds herself entangled in the web of karma, facing imminent graft charges. Perhaps she believed her political immunity was as robust as her opinions. Even after retirement, she continued her one-woman anti-Marcos crusade through social media and opposition campaigns, only to find that karma has a penchant for catching up, especially in the political arena.

As the legal battles loom, one can’t help but wonder if Guanzon will employ the same vigor in defending herself as she did in discrediting Marcos. In the game of political karma, it seems the rules can change faster than a politician’s allegiance.
