NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – The latest FOX News-Washington Post poll shows Donald Trump pulling away from his closest Relublican rivals in the presidential race. Latest numbers show Trump at 45% compared to second placers Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush who are now tied at 12%.

Trump’s poll surge has been largely attributed to the release of a new album by singer Josh Groban. The new album  based on Trump’s famous tweets made a splashing debut in this week’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

There’s no stopping Trump from his quest for The White House. Even negative publicity is working in his favor.

Here’s a preview of Groban’s new album:

YOUTUBE VIDEO HAUNTS PHILIPPINE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE MAR ROXAS

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Can you imagine Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump saying ‘F*ck You’ in one of their campaign speeches? Of course not.

But that is not the case with Philippine presidential candidate Mar Roxas, President NoyNoy Aquino’s Secretary of the Interior and Local Government, and his anointed presidential successor.

In one public speech he made in 2008, Roxas was seen and heard cursing and cussing. “P*tang ina, ano ba ito?” (What the f*ck is this?) he screamed. It was caught on live TV and  video-taped. It has, since then, gone viral on YouTube.

Now that he is running for president in the 2016 elections, and campaigning under the mantra of Aquino’s ‘Daang Matuwid,’ (straight path), Roxas is having a very difficult time erasing that embarrassing moment from the minds of the religious and moralistic Filipino voters.

Indeed, it was a regrettable moment that now haunts Roxas’ campaign to be the next president of the Philippines.

In any case, if elected, he would be the world’s first ‘cussing president’ and that could be a game changer in the future of world politics.

CONTROVERSIAL TORRE DE MANILA’S FACADE NOW A GIANT CAMPAIGN BILLBOARD FOR MAR ROXAS

imageMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – While Filipinos await a decision from the Philippine Supreme Court on Torre de Manila, a new, giant billboard has been put up on the facade of the controversial condominium project.

The court case stems from a petition filed by the Knights of Rizal seeking to stop the construction of the high-rise building because it mars the sightline of the monument of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Among the respondents named in the petition were the National Historical Commision of the Philippines (NHCP), National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the National Museum.

Just yesterday, the  Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) said it will no longer represent NHCP in the case filed before the Supreme Court. (It wasn’t clear whether or not the OSG decision had something to do with the new billboard.)

The billboard was put up by Liberal Party presidential candidate Mar Roxas, President Aquino’s Interior and Local Government Secretary.

As expected , Roxas’s rival candidate, Vice President Jejomar Binay, has protested the campaign billboard and says he will file an electioneering complaint against Roxas before the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Binay asserts that the official campaign period has not yet begun and that the vice president is put at a great disadvantage by the billboard because of its prime location. Binay also claims that the Roxas campaign billboard exceeds the maximum size allowed under Comelec rules.
