U.N. Experts Want President Marcos To Declare Martial Law!

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – Rappler is reporting that United Nations experts want Philippine President Bongbong Marcos to declare Martial Law.

After the denial of bail for incarcerated former Senator Leila de Lima, the experts now want Marcos to free her and to investigate how she ended up in jail in the first place.

The only way Marcos could do that is to declare Martial Law which would suspend all Constitutional processes.

Under the Philippine Constitution, there is separation among the three branches of government — Executive, Legislative and Judicial. The President cannot dictate on the Judiciary which is what the U.N. experts want him to do.

De Lima’s case is now under the Judicial Branch.

Baguio City Bans Playing Of ‘Lato-Lato’

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio City Bureau) – The Philippines’ Summer Capital of Baguio City always leads the way when it comes to instilling discipline among its citizens and visitors.

You can’t urinate, spit or smoke in public. You can’t curse. You can’t have karaoke sessions during wee hours. You have to wear your face mask in public transports and crowded establishments.

Now, Mayor Benjamin Magalong has issued Executive Order No. 69, banning the playing of ‘lato-lato’ in public.

The trending game involves a pair of plastic balls connected by a string that creates a unique clacking sound. Kids and adults alike have been playing the game even inside malls.

Many have complained, especially senior citizens, that the noise created by the balls exceeds the noise level that they can handle. Others say the sound almost resembles that of Chinese firecrackers.

So the next time you have the urge to play lato-lato, do so in the privacy of your bedroom. And close your door and windows.

Soon after the arraignment, Trump visited a posh Miami Cuban restaurant where he reportedly met with the Mafia to plot his exile from Havana.

Our fly on the wall tells us that he hopes to evade the Federal charges filed against him by setting up a government in exile where he plans to campaign for the 2024 presidential elections.

If elected, Trump says he will move The White House to a mansion he plans to build in Havana.

Bring out the cigars!
