Solved: Case Of The Missing Mall Escalator

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – It will go down in history as the weirdest heist ever conducted — an entire mall escalator going missing from SM North EDSA.

But leave it to the ever-efficient agents of the Philippines’ National Bureau of Investigation, the culprit was immediately found and apprehended.

NBI agents found the missing structure installed in a two-storey house just outside of Quezon City.

How the robber was able to pull it off continues to puzzle the mall management and investigative authorities.

One thing for sure is that it will take at least 15 working days for the escalator to be disassembled from the robber’s home and re-installed at the mall. In the meantime, shoppers are advised to do a little physical exercise and take the stairs to reach their favorite store at SM North.

Anti-Jeepney Phaseout: Shame On Adults Who Exploit Innocent Children

In a stunning display of questionable parenting choices, adults have shamelessly recruited children as the unwitting faces of protests against the jeepney modernization program. What better way to advance a cause than to parade youngsters, blissfully ignorant of the complexities surrounding transportation policy? Clearly, indoctrinating the innocent is the latest trend in grassroots activism.

These miniature activists, unable to distinguish between a jeepney and a toy car, are thrust onto the frontline to voice opinions they can’t possibly comprehend. This blatant child exploitation not only undermines the credibility of the protests but raises eyebrows at the ethics of those orchestrating these stunts.

The Departments of Social Welfare Administration and Justice should intervene promptly to protect these unwitting pawns. Let’s spare the children from the political puppetry and let them enjoy their juice boxes and playdates instead of shouldering the weight of societal grievances.

Shame on those who exploit the purity of childhood for their agenda, turning innocence into a tool for manipulation.

Mistaken Assumption: PAWS Sues Makati Mexican Restaurant!

MAKATI CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Makati Bureau) – In a bizarre case of mistaken assumption, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has decided to unleash the legal hounds on Chihuahua Mexican Grill in Greenbelt, Makati. Why? PAWS assumed the restaurant was violating the Animal Welfare Act, serving up man’s best friend in their burritos.

The misunderstanding arose from the misleadingly adorable name of the establishment, Chihuahua Mexican Grill. PAWS, apparently thinking the grill was going full-on culinary Cruella de Vil, filed a lawsuit faster than you can say “taco ’bout a mix-up.”

However, it turns out the only thing being grilled at Chihuahua is good old beef, pork, and chicken. PAWS might need a crash course in menu interpretation, proving once and for all that jumping to conclusions can land you in the legal doghouse.

Moral of the story: before unleashing the legal beasts, make sure you’re barking up the right taco truck.
