Disbar Teddy Boy Locsin!

Ah, the delightful spectacle of Philippine politics is once again gracing us with its absurdity.

This time, the disbarment case against Ambassador Teddy Boy Locsin takes center stage, and one can’t help but marvel at the sheer audacity of it all.

Locsin’s reckless tweets may have all but endorsed the genocidal killing of Palestinian children, but who needs lengthy arguments and rhetoric to make a case? We’re talking about the same Supreme Court that previously disbarred Larry Gadon for his colorful outbursts, after all.

It’s almost comical how Locsin’s main defense, sarcasm, is supposed to save the day. Well, in a world where words no longer carry weight, why not try sarcasm, right? Surely, the honorable justices will see the humor in this, and one, short, en banc meeting should suffice to clear this matter up.

In the grand tradition of Philippine politics, we can only trust that our justices will navigate this circus with the grace and dignity it deserves. After all, what’s a little disbarment case compared to the daily spectacle of our political landscape?

Miss International Or Miss South America?

The recently-concluded Miss International Beauty Pageant left viewers scratching their heads and wondering if they accidentally tuned into the wrong show.

With Miss Philippines making it to the top 5, one couldn’t help but question if they had stumbled into the Miss South America Pageant instead. Perhaps the organizers had secretly decided to hold a crossover event, mixing up their contestants like a deck of cards.

Miss Philippines, a beautiful and talented woman, is undeniably impressive, but her presence in the top 5 does raises some curious eyebrows. Is it the long-lost Latino heritage of the Philippines that the judges suddenly discovered? Or maybe it was her secret salsa dancing skills?

The international beauty pageant world has a penchant for surprises, and this one certainly had us all reevaluating our geography textbooks.

In the end, we can only hope that next year, the pageant organizers remember to stick to the world map when choosing their top 5 winners. Until then, we’ll just have to keep our atlases close and our sense of humor even closer.

Rappler Accuses Miss Philippines of “Settling” Her Runner-up Position At Miss International!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Rappler, the least-trusted news brand in the Philippines, may have uncovered an illegal, negotiation scheme at the Miss International Beauty Pageant. This after the convicted criminal, Maria Ressa-owned online news portal accused the country’s representative to the pageant Nicole Borromeo of “settling” for the position of third runner-up. We wonder why she didn’t settle for the crown. Perhaps she was short of funds?

Leave it to Rappler to flaunt its investigative skills. They could uncover many more secrets and underworld schemes.
