SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – We’ve heard about citizens without a country, but citizens without a president? That’s what many Filipino Americans are facing right now after the election of Donald Trump as the 45th U.S. president.
Many Filipino Americans have been vocal about their opposition to duly-elected Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, known for his colorful language, controversial statements and actions in connection with his war on drugs.
Now, the same Filipino Americans are expressing their severe disappointment over Trump’s election, saying that he is not their president.
That leaves them without a president, come January 2017.
Truly unprecedented.
