MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – After the long wait of four years, the Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) has nullified the election of Vice President Leni Robredo in 2016. And it had nothing to do with the electoral protest filed by former Senator Bongbong Marcos.

In a review of election-related documents, the PET suddenly realized that the person who garnered the most votes for the VP position was a different person — different from Robredo.

In a resolution handing down the nullification of Robredo’s election, the PET said that the person listed on the official ballot was named Leni Daang Matuwid Robredo, apparently not the legal name of the VP which is Maria Leonor Robredo.

The PET said legal names matter in elections, otherwise, mismatched names would constitute fraud and falsification of public documents.

The nullification paves the way for Marcos to assume the Vice Presidency, albeit only about two years remain in the current term.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – White House staffers, including members of the Secret Service are all too eager to get rid of their soon-to-be former boss.

Sources close to Donald Trump told The Adobo Chronicles that although the Presidential elections have not yet been called and a winner has yet to be declared, the President is now banned from entering the Presidential residence on Pennsylvania Ave.

A Secret Service officer said, “Mr. Trump is now forBiden. We look forward to serving the new President.”
