WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – It’s been more than two weeks since the November 3 U.S. Presidential elections and even with Joe Biden being the projected winner in the race, Donald Trump is showing no signs of conceding. He and his allies continue to entertain the idea that January 20, 2021 will be an inauguration of a Trump second term.
The Adobo Chronicles polled our panel of political and law experts and asked them what they think will happen if Trump refuses to leave The White House.
The experts were unanimous in their response: Trump will be under (White) House Arrest.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The “Iskolar ng Bayan,” (scholars of taxpayer money) at the University of the Philippines Diliman campus have announced that they will boycott their classes until President Rodrigo Duterte is ousted.
In response, Duterte said he will soon sign an Executive Order that will convert the entire U.P. Diliman campus into a permanent calamity evacuation center for Metro Manila to enable the government to better respond to natural disasters like the floods brought about by the recent typhoon, Ulysses.
In the draft E.O. obtained by The Adobo Chronicles, Duterte said that his administration will not allow the sprawling U.P. Diliman campus to go to waste because it was built and is being maintained by taxpayer money. He added that the savings from the “free tuition” for U.P. students will serve as standby funds that will be tapped for any future calamities.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – There is a lot of history being made with the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, not the least of which is the fact that the United States has chosen a woman Vice President after all of 244 years.
But it is also the first time in U.S. history that a man will assume the role of Second Lady.
So as the Biden-Harris transition team is up and running with plans for the full takeover of the national leadership, it is now struggling to find an official title for Harris’ husband Douglas Craig Emhoff.
Should he be called “Second Man” or “Second Gentleman?”
