QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – In his sixth and final State of the Nation Address (SONA), then President Rordrigo Duterte vented frustrations over ABS-CBN’s supposed dishonesty by importing its equipment “tax-free” and declaring only four hectares of property when it actually has 40 hectares.
Now, the owners of the ABS-CBN Broadcast Center have said they are ready to demolish their iconic building.
But questions arise as to whether or not the government should confiscate the building as payment for the disenfranchised network’s owed taxes.
Netizens argue the building could then be sold to the leading legitimate television network, GMA 7.
DAVAO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Davao City Bureau) – It is now widely known that Director Darryl Yap’ third series of his Marcos trilogy, “Mabuhay, Aloha, Mabuhay” will include Bongbong Marcos’ election to the presidency, and by extension, part of Rodrigo Duterte’s tenure as head of state.
It is rumored that Duterte himself will play the part of, well, President Digong, in the upcoming film.
Yesterday, however, Duterte issued a stern warning to Yap and it was all caught on tape:
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Who else can best portray Rodrigo Duterte than Rodrigo Duterte himself?
With that statement, Director Darryl Yap announced in a press conference yesterday that the former president has agreed to play himself in the third installment of Viva Films’ Marcos flicks, ‘Mabuhay Aloha Mabuhay.’ The upcoming film is expected to chronicle the Hawaii exile of the Marcoses in 1986 to the election of Bongbong Marcos in 2022.
Duterte joined the rest of the cast of MaM at the press conference, including Cesar Montano as Ferdinand E. Marcos, Ruffa Gutierrez as Imelda Marcos, Aga Muhlach as Bongbong Marcos, among others.
