QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – The 2023 GMA Gala didn’t disappoint fashion critics as top celebrities paraded their designer long gowns in a ostentatious display of glam and glitter.
But Kapuso actress (Mrs. Chiz Escudero) Heart Evangelista was courageously different: she was stunning in a cocktail dress.
(The modern definition of cocktail dress has come to mean a shorter, above-the-knee style dress. It’s sophisticated yet ‘party ready’ whilst bridging the gap between day and night.)
Evangelista turned heads as she made a grand entrance wearing Maison Schiaparelli Courture and Bulgari High Jewelry.
The Adobo Chronicles caught up with the actress at the end of the red carpet and we asked her what the inspiration behind her gown was.
“I love to drink cocktails,” she said, “and among my favorites are alcoholic mixed drinks that come with those cute mini-parasols. I specifically like Piña Colada, Mai Tai, Blue Hawaii and Margarita.”
