Malacañang Announces Shortlist Of Top Candidates To Head NAIA!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) -Just hours after the Ombudsman released its decision to dismiss from service the Chief and the Assistant General Manager of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) for abuse of authority and misconduct, Malacañang released the shortlist of candidates to replace the MIAA chief. (MIAA oversees the management and operations of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, or NAIA which will be renamed Manila International Airport on Monday, August 21.)

The shortlist includes Rodrigo Duterte supporters and others who campaigned for Bongbong Marcos in the 2022 presidential elections in the hopes of getting appointed to a key and juicy position in the administration. Most, are vloggers.

  • -Claire Eden Contreras, a.k.a., Bb. Maharlika
  • -Sass Rogando Sasot
  • -Mark Lopez
  • -RJ Nieto, a.k.a. Thinking Pinoy (who declined because he is now studying in London)
  • -Glenn Chong
  • -Malou Tiquia of Publicus Asia
  • -Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador
  • -Fugitive former Comelec Chair Andy Bautista (if he gets the courage to return to the Philippines)

Marcos is expected to announce his final choice in his speech at the renaming of NAIA on Monday.

Elections 2025: From Pinklawan to Azulan!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – 2025 is not that far away. Soon, Filipinos will be voting for a new batch of senators, and the supporters of Leni Robredo and lone opposition senator Risa Hontiveros are girding their loins!

Realizing that the Dilawan and Pinklawan (Yellows and Pinks) didn’t get them anywhere during the 2022 presidential elections, leaders of the opposition are changing strategy.

Robredo and Hontiveros are teaming up to put up what they say would be the strongest coalition ever to go against the Marcoses. And they are changing colors too.

Henceforth, the Dilawan and Pinklawan will be known as Azulan — for their new color of blue!
