Norway has 239,057 islands, including coastal islands.
The Finnish have 178,947 islands.
The Japanese have 120,729 islands. Over 14,125 ofthese have a circumference of 0.1 km. Meaning as big as this: 🔴 – or the red dot in its flag which lookslike this: 🇯🇵
Our neighbour, Indonesia, got 18,110 islands.
In comparison, The Philippines 🇵🇭, my Philippines, has 7,641 islands. By the way, there are not 100 islands in Pangasinan’s Hundred Islands. There are 124.
My domicile, Switzerland 🇨🇭, is a landlocked country not usually associated with islands. Believe me, we got 300 of them.
Which reminds me: No man is an Island.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – For the longest time, Kabataan Partylist Representative Raoul Manuel never got an answer to a question he raised during a Congressional hearing on whether the Philippines has already reclaimed sabá (Sabah).
Yesterday, Manuel’s question was answered with the release of former Senator Leila de Lima, a.k.a. “Sabá.”
