GMA News, the once bottomless well of Miss Universe updates has run dry, leaving journalists to grapple with the shocking reality of a slow news day.

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (The Adobo Chronicles, El Salvador Bureau) – In the alphabetical tradition of the introduction of Miss Universe contestants, Miss Philippines has always come after Miss Peru. But in the 2023 pageant, Miss Philippines will be introduced before Miss Finland.
The reason?
The Philippines’ Michelle Marquez Dee has decided to introduce herself as the representative from Filipinas!
At least, she will gain points with the audiences (or judges) from Spanish and South American countries.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – The Office of the Prosecutor of Quezon City has issued a subpoena to former President Rodrigo Duterte in connection with a complaint filed by Representative France Castro for grave threats.
Salvador Panelo, who is Duterte’s legal counsel, told The Adobo Chronicles that his client will not appear before the prosecutor and that he is not worried about contempt issues.
The reason?
The subpoena is addressed to a “Rodrigo Roa R. Duterte” which is not the same as “Rodrigo Roa Duterte.”
”We do not know who the person named in the subpoena is,” Panelo said. “Roa is my client’s middle name, not his second first name.
