MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In a desperate effort to regain lost votes as a result of the ongoing recount of the 2016 Vice Presidential Elections, Leni Robredo has petitioned the Supreme Court, acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), for partial credit of 25% shaded ballots.
Earlier, PET denied Robredo’s petition to consider partly-shaded votes, including those that are shaded just 25%, as votes in her favor.
In a new petition filed before PET, Robredo asked for a compromise: that ballots cast for her that were shaded just 25% be credited as a 1/4 vote (0.25).
”The number would still be significant,” Robredo spokesperson Georgina Hernandez told The Adobo Chornicles. “It means that 4 ballots that were each shaded just 25% would equal to one full vote for the Vice President.”
The math may be correct, but the logic is, well, illogical!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Vice President Leni Robredo came to the defense of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, criticizing efforts to oust the latter through the quo warranto case now pending in the Supreme Court.
